My Prayer for PEACE on the National Day of Prayer

Our Daddy, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name!

We are stunned by the grace of prayer — that you care and listen and answer. And so today we pray boldly to you for our world.

We pray that in the midst of evil and strife, hatred and division, brokenness and sin, that we, your people, would become a people PROMOTING RECONCILIATION with you and each other.

We pray that in the midst of a world full of ego and corruption, weakness and cowardice, we would be EQUIPPERS OF LEADERS — servant leaders, leaders with integrity, leaders with courage and conviction… leaders who love mercy, seek justice, and walk humbly with their God.

We pray that faced with the reality of stupid poverty in a world of abundant resources, that we would be a people who constantly love, serve and ASSIST THE POOR.

We pray that given the pandemic of diseases like HIV/AIDS, cancer, malaria, and so many more, that we would be a people that simply and lovingly CARE FOR THE SICK.

We pray that given the reality of illiteracy and lack of education that so many in our world face — a reality that condemns them to cycles of poverty and despair — that we, your people, would commit to truly training and EDUCATING THE NEXT GENERATION.

Father, mostly we pray that this world would begin to look a little more like heaven every day… and that you would use us to help bring forth your will — on earth, as it is in heaven.

May we be a People of P.E.A.C.E. — always and forever, until your return!

For your glory Jesus!

And we pray this, as we always pray when we gather together as your people, 

In the name of the FATHER, SON & HOLY SPIRIT.
