Election Day

A friend posted this status on his Facebook page today:

“Please vote today and please ask your family and friends to vote today. This is a great country and we need everyone’s voice. Thank you to all the candidates for putting themselves on the firing line; good luck!”

Well said!

No matter what the results tonight (and I will be camped out watching!), it is pretty amazing that our system works.  Millions peaceably go out to vote and — no matter the results — we will have a peaceable and cooperative transition to new leadership.  We take this for granted, but it is actually a pretty amazing thing.
