Dear Father…

Our hearts are broken over the horrific tragedy taking place in Haiti right now.

We know of nothing else to do but turn to you in prayer, for we know that your heart breaks too.

Lord, comfort the wounded.  Be close to the broken.  Bring relief to the hurting.

Words alone cannot capture the depths of our prayers… so we ask that the Holy Spirit would pray on our behalf and on behalf of our brothers and sisters in Haiti.

Lord, bring healing and hope to the nation of Haiti.

Strengthen those that are working to bring relief — doctors and nurses and police and military and government leaders and churches and ordinary people.

Lord, it seems hopeless… but you are a God of hope — and so we choose to hope in you.

Bring hope to your people… bring hope to Haiti… bring hope in your name.

And we pray these things, as we always pray as your people,

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
